"Creation is the best medicine starting with your head and hands"
I am a visual artist behind Occipicco Art. The name Occipicco Art came from a combination between occipital lobe (vision) part of the brain and picture books. We have a vision for something. If you look closely, all of my works are formed into a picture book. My brand refers to a connection of growth and nature and my love for visual appeal to art. For example, the way I use colors to express my feelings in art as well as visual communication in design. I focus on creating abstract acrylic paintings including: mountain landscapes and seascapes and transfer them onto wall art prints as well as stationary and book covers that will catch the viewers eye.
My art career began when...
I was introduced into the art world in college. It was one of my major obstacles in my life. As a visual learner, I struggled with writing art critics or any essays in general. At the beginning, I struggled with drawing classes and my professor suggested for me to have an art tutor. I observed how the tutor broke down each object into basic shapes to form complex still-life objects.

I created this color study illustration for drawing II class and it was recognized at Daemen College Academic Festival in Spring 2009.
Next, a part of my journey was spending time in Peru creating illustration work. For example, I worked on a Two-Point Perspective drawing of inside of a Peruvian home in Trujillo, Peru. The original drawing was done in drawing pencil in 2013. This illustration work was recreated with a blob brush tool in Adobe Illustrator.

As I continue with my journey, my art has changed the past few years from imitating still-life objects to using more of my imagination to produce original work. For example, in this graphic design work, "Promo Postcard 3" was a typography project of one of my favorite icons in the arts; done in Adobe Illustrator and InDesign. This was displayed at Spot Coffee Elmwood for the Buffalo
Infringement Festival.
My mission is to empower creative legacies to gain confidence in developing their own intuitive painting collections, inspiring them to navigate their journeys in daily life. I strive to help individuals tap into their spiritual awareness through their art, creating pieces that resonate with them and serve as ideal decor for homes, offices, and commercial spaces. By fostering an arts community, I aim to provide a supportive environment where individuals can share their experiences and discuss their artistic journeys, reflecting on how the process of creating intuitive paintings impacts their emotions and growth.
